I always knew I wanted to work with children. Children have something special that makes any job worthwhile. However, I have never felt the satisfaction of a job as quickly as I have working for CASA. I am excited to be a part of a great team of staff and volunteers that feel the same as I do. Our advocates who invest their time and hearts are such giving and selfless individuals who inspire me on a daily basis. Assisting them in advocating for a child’s best interest is invaluable. While supporting them in their efforts, I am also learning from their experiences. The work may seem demanding, but the rewards are endless. I have always had a passion for a job where I knew I could make a difference every day, and working for CASA has given me that opportunity. A child having a CASA may be the only positive influence that child receives. And if that one positive influence is the one that helps that child become something great in life, that is a reward in itself.
